About Cornerstone

Cornerstone is part of an international missional church planting movement called Great Commission Ministries In 2001 a few brave individuals (13 adults and 2 children) packed up their gear from the University of Illinois and set foot in Normal to plant Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. Back then we were a couple small groups doing life together and reaching out to our friends.

The Passion and Uniqueness of Cornerstone

In the few years we’ve been here we’ve seen God change lives. That’s why we are here. Since 2001 we’ve grown a bit older, a bit wiser and added a few more babies. Our heart and passion and focus are the college students at ISU. Yet there is something unique about us. We are not quite a community church yet not entirely a group of college students. There are some professional teachers, engineers and moms, computer programmers, baristas, bankers and salesmen in Cornerstone. We are devoted to being a church where loving relationships lead to changed lives.
